WE are living in a world
drowning in an abyss of self. .I...I...I...self centered selfishness
while the hurting go on hurting and many of the beat broken bruised
fatherless outcasts of this world system never meet the one who came to
bring them freedom , died to give them life and lives to make them
his...
As christians our hearts have become Hard and our flesh not truly
crucified...its not Christ living in us but a mutated monster half
living and half dead...sadly the world ..peace activists, gay
lesbian organizations...etc...seem to help the hurting and hungry more
then the so called Christians.. how can we shut up our bowels of
compassion.. we must not know Jesus like we claim to.. maybe we are
content to just know about him ..ritual is sometimes easier
then relationship (at least on the flesh). we conveniently ignore the
knock at the door of our heart for one more flesh feeding frenzy.....
Because of the self-centeredness of our society (what I want or need
comes first killing kids for convenience.. feeding the dark desires of
flesh no matter who it hurts exploiting and being exploited till it is
all we know and seems natural ) we are a generation of the
fatherless....God is calling us who had no fathers to be fathers.. we
must be what we want to see.. we can not allow our hurts to be an excuse
to propagate the same hurt on the next generation..
God is longing in these last days to turn the hearts of the fathers to
the sons and the sons to the fathers...Malachi 4:6..in order to be the
fathers he needs we must have his heart for the people...to see them as
he sees them.. not as our problems but his possibilities ..bringing out
the greatness within...not shoving judgmental pious religious garbage (a
guise to hide our hardened heart) in their face but grabbing hold of
them in their filth with the loving arms of a selfless heart.. letting
Jesus love them embrace them and speak to them through us.. This is the
heart of a spiritual father (whether male or female)...
Jesus said I came to minister not to be ministered unto and as my
disciples you must do the same.. minister means to be a servant or slave
..unfortunately many ministers today don't know that.. they think it
means to be King or to be served ..and not just his friends but Jesus
served his enemies also...He washed the feet of Judas along with the
other disciples, a job usually left to the servant of the house...right
before Judas would betray him and Jesus already knew he would...he
didn't come for the religious he came to serve the world as he said the
healthy don't need a doctor but the sick.. he came for the broken and
rejected lost sheep and was touched with the feelings of their
infirmities.. (their pain was his pain - their tears where his tears and
so it is today...) he longs for us to be touched with the infirmities of
his people to have the heart of a father.. to go beyond the four walls
of the church building and proclaim his love to the hurting..
We must have a heart as Davids who cried out
"o GOd forsake me not until I have SHEWED your strength unto this
generation and your power unto every one that is to
come"!psalms71:18 and" in this dry and weary land where no
water is let me see your power as I have seen in your sanctuary"
psalms 63:1...This generation is hungry for the miraculous power of a
living God and will not be satisfied with dead religion......where are
the fathers who will stand against all odds who aren't afraid to be true
outcasts !
We must have a heart as Elijahs' ...he did not
seek to do miracles for his glory, but to turn the heart of the people
back to God I Kings 18:37....that is the heart of a spiritual father to
turn the heart of the children back to God...when the heart turns to the
lord the veil that has blinded them is lifted..11corinth 3:16 ..notice
not when the mind turns but the heart.. Selfish religion wont reach this
generation but selfless love will ! Gimmicks gags and the latest fades
wont reach them but a father with the heart of the FAther can ! Revolution
starts with a heart ! you see in Malachi
4:6 the heart of the fathers are turned first to the children then the
children to the fathers ...we must have a heart for God's children to
see them free... As Paul says in I Corinth 4:15 though you have 10,000
instructors in Christ you don't have many fathers.. no one who truly
cares for you.. willing to lay their life down to see CHrist birthed in
you.. Willing to pay the price to see his power released and the
captives set free.. 2 Corinthians 4:11- we who are alive are always
delivered to death for Christs' sake that his power..his life.. may be
released.. made manifest.. in our mortal bodies...notice mortal bodies
...that is Gods superhuman miracle working power that is to be released
in and through us now on this earth in this realm. so death is working
in us but life in you (dead to the world and its temporal
pleasures)...v8..we are troubled...perplexed persecuted...cast down...v
15 all for your sake.. to bring more precious ones into the freedom of
His grace (unmerited favor- the free gift of freedom)...2 corinthians
5:14 Love is the motivation that drives us to live the crucified life no
mater the cost and see His resurrection power flow through us into the
depths of the hurting ! live dead and the dead will live !
1 John 2:15 ...if any man love the world ( the backwards order of
satisfying self ) the love of the Father is not in him.. If we walk in
the flesh we will not be walking in love and we will not have the heart
of a Father..rom5 says the love of God is poured out in our hearts by
the Holy Spirit who is within us. YOu see, His love is in our hearts not
in our flesh.. in our inner man.. Our spirit is in fellowship with His
Spirit within us.. The real us.. the reborn.. regenerated us.. so if we
are to walk in love we must walk in the spirit. we will not love in the
flesh. our flesh nature is selfish and love is selfless...it seeketh not
its own...
I pray these words would pierce you even to the
dividing of soul and spirit to the discerning of the thoughts and
intents of your heart ..that God would try the reigns of your heart and
see who leads you and if it isn't His Spirit you would repent of
selfishness and follow him to the feet of the hurting and be a father to
the fatherless today !!
And the Lord make you to increase (excel and overflow) and abound in
love one toward another, for all people ,
even as we do toward you: 1 thess 3:12
